There are multiple forums around i-864 Affidavit of Support, but couldn't found our particular case.

I'm in the U.S. with an L-1, and my spouse (US citizen) is a homemaker. We submitted the AoS, with an i-130 previously approved and it was accepted. However, we were surprised when we received a "Request for Initial Evidence" with a request to meet 125% of the poverty guideline.

The surprise came because we included in the i-864 for my wife statements showing that last year she had no income as homemaker, and receipts of the job she started in the current one. We also attached evidence with my income with my 6 month income receipts, my job offer letter and and w-2 for the previous year. With this, our annual income is well above the requirement.

Apparently we were not clear enough, and we don't want to resubmit info without making sure we attach the proper evidence, in a way that USCIS can understand them without doubts.

How do we submit the evidence that meets the requirements of USCIS?
