Ds 260 waiting to be reviewed

Hey guys. Called nvc asking about what's the status of my case. The representative told me that my documents had been reviewed since june 25(scan date:June 5). and asked me if i already filled ds260. I said yes(July 5) cause of the technical problems of the site. And told me that it takes 30 days for them to review it. I'm seeing people getting cc with the same timeline as I do.

Oh, I also received a checklist for ds260 a couple of days ago. Why now? If they reviewed my documents last month.

What am I missing here?

Any body else experiencing the same situation as I do.

This process is really a test of patience. Grrrrr.

It takes them a while to intake and to output mail...even if you send your documents one day it can take up to 2 weeks for then just to open your mail or mark it as received....I had a checklist also but it didn't take 30 days for them to review it like they say it was like 3 weeks before my CC date and it took them like a week to email me a confirmation but I know sooner since I called all the time

Aos and iv documents are already been reviewed. Only the ds 260 left to be reviewed to get a cc. That's what the agent/representative told me.

All they had to review from my checklist was my marriage certificate and that took them 3 weeks it's very hard to predict a timeline at the nvc...

that's the worst part. We don't know how they work. All we could do is wait.

I completed my DS 260 on April 20th & am still waiting for the review to be completed. Last time I called she said the delay was due to the problems with the Computer System but I am confused how this affected my case review since I was able to submit my DS 260 before the "computer problems" happened...?

Yes.. my situation is exactly like yours, see my signature. We sent aos+iv documents, then because of their website issues, our DS260 submission was delayed. We still got checklist for the ds260.. two weeks after we had submitted it.

Our checklist notification said to give NVC 45 days to review. Yes, 45 days. I reckon review time is different for different people.

Today is Day 28 since we responded to the checklist. NVC sucks.

Hi DydyLo,

Which date is considered my scan date? Is that the date the DS 260 was submitted online? If so that would be April 20, 2015.

~Tanya

The date when they received your aos/iv packet. You usually received an email stating that they did received your documents. That's your scan date.

Our lawyer wants to wait the minimum 30 days.. I guess lawyers do everything by the book. So we'll be contacting NVC for a follow up later in the week.. day 28..29..30!
