I sent our I-751 application on May 22, 2015 and received NOA1 on June 1, 2015, but have not received biometric screening yet. How long does it normally take to receive biometric screening appointment? I'm thinking of calling USCIS and check on our application.

My husband sent his petition in May and has an NOA1 dated May27, and he also has not received his biometrics appointment. There seems to be a group of people who filed from about May 19 to May 29 who have not gotten their biometrics yet. I submitted an online service request last week but have not heard anything yet.

Call them to check for sure because we sent our petition toward the end of June and got our NOA1 on June 25 and we had an appointment date for July 21st. But of course we NEVER GOT THE NOTICE because it turned out it was sent to the wrong address (to my next door neighbor) and my irresponsible neighbor didn't go through her stack of mail for apparently two weeks! She finally came over to my doorstep on Friday July 24 with the letter. So we missed our biometric appointment!

I called USCIS today and the lady whom I talked to said she sent a service request saying we haven't received my husband's biometric screening appt yet, and that to give them 15 days to process the request. She mentioned that normally we should have received the biometric screening appt within 30 days after receiving the extension letter. Hoping that my husbands receives his biometric screening appt already.

To Ismael&Blair: Sorry to hear about what happened. I hope everything still turn out well with y'all.

Update with our unfortunate mishap, so I called the USCIS customer service number and the woman on the line reassured me that they will not cancel the petition despite what the I-797C notice states on the paper: IF YOU FAIL TO APPEAR AS SCHEDULED, YOUR APPLICATION, PETITION, OR REQUEST WILL BE CONSIDERED ABANDONED.

She instructed me to mail the original notice to request for rescheduling. I sent that notice with a letter explaining the unfortunate turn of events priority overnight and they should have received it today. I will keep you posted when we will get another appointment letter for the biometrics.

l just hope he will be ok to travel back to his home country in the near future. I'm going to have to start a thread for this question!
