Hello fellow VJ,

Our interview in next Wednesday in Manila. My fiancé is from Davao City and has family in Manila. When we get approved, and decides to pick up visa instead of mailing, does anyone know how long it takes on average when she can pick it up?

Thanks

No clear cut answer to your question, too many factors that can effect when they issue visa. I would say on average about 3 days to 10 days.

I would suggest she go back home to Davao and wait there, It will only add a day or two wait, Plus they will deliver it to her directly at home.

Did she do CFO yet?

FWIW, this is for a CR2 visa... my step daughter had 'interview' on Tuesday morning and visa was delivered in Bulacan on Friday. My guess is that is exceptionally fast and definitely not the norm.

It's difficult for anyone to predict when you will receive your visa. We are in normal times and we are seeing 5 to 10 business days. But, we have seen upwards of 30 days to 6 months for some.

Part of the test measures are, estimating the time it will take USEM to process, issue and 2Go to deliver. Since no one can exactly simulate all visa conditions, actual visa processing of each person will vary. As a result, when these estimated visa claims from other applicants are published, I almost always state the standard disclaimer "your mileage may vary."

Do not finalize arrangements for travel to the United States, dispose of properties, or resign from your job until a visa has been issued and delivered to you.

More information can be found in my guide. Go to the tab "Tracking your Visa" and you will see step by step instructions on how to follow your visa.

Our Interview was June 18th and our cased showed ready until July 11th then went to AP then Issued the same day....we got our visa delivered on July 18th. So ours took a month and there was no AP or any delays other than that's when they got to it.......

(They had our DS-160 since April so I think that's why there was such a short AP, they had probably done all their legwork ahead of time....probably also why they didn't ask for anything at her interview....not even questions.)

USEM only uses 2go for the delivery of VISA. so it doesn't matter if your loved one lives in Davao, it will be there as quickly as it can when USEM issues the VISA.

You do not have the option to "pickup" the visa. The visa will be delivered by 2O, if you plan to stay in Manila after the interview have the visa scheduled for pickup at 2GO MOA ... that is the absolute quickly. Embassy states 7-10 days for delivery after the visa is issued, and issuance is not at the interview.

Did your fiancee complete CFO yet or is she doing this after receiving the visa?
