California Uscis approved my petition in 1 month

Just wanted to give update on process times I sent my petition for k1 visa last month it was received June 23 and today it was approved July 21 . That was really fast I was expecting a long time . I am so happy

Very nice for you, but have a thought for all us unlucky people who paid the same money as you, but because of the State the petitioner lives in gets sent to the Texas Centre, where we have to sit in a back log of 6 months or more. So you put yours in June and it only took a month. Ours went in on Feb 19th 2015, (4 months before you) and we have heard nothing and probably won't until September. So next time share your delight maybe on a Californian forum, because reading it makes me fell so angry.

Congrats. Yes California is known for its fast approvals. I had an RFE and was still approved quickly. It is unfortunate that the other service centers are slow in processing but that is through no fault of ours. Enjoy your approval and pray that our counterparts move along quickly as possible. I do feel for people that are still waiting but it is out of our hands. Congrats again and may the rest of your journey be swift.

The lawyer is mistaken -- everything is being sent to the CSC these days.

However, the cautions about the visa interview are very appropriate to heed.
