We also applied for a 601 in February with no news yet. I read someone mentioned "criminal records" My fiancé had a criminal record 28 years ago for silly things, stealing gloves and a ticket for having a marijuana cigarette in his duffle bag. We are going crazy thinking this is going to be denied. Any thoughts?

My friends, I am beyond Happy, very Exсited to announсe that we just got APPROVED!!!! TODAY!!!

File date is 3/19/2015 , regular waiver I601 for overstayed visa!

Approval date is today 09/16/2015.

6 full months waiting.

Don't lose your hope, everything will work out for you! God is good!

It seems the majority of waivers are for overstays or illegal entry. At least those are the ones talked about the most. I don't know the stats on criminal waiver denials vs approvals. not many posts about them. Not much information around.

Ours is for a charge on his police record from 10 years ago. Never spent a minute in jail only paid a $10 fine. Waiver receipt date 8/4/15. We shall see what happens.

Hey guys got approved so excited but now I have no idea what to do I've received my i-601 approval notice already but and I emailed the consulate how long does they take to send IL letter also I checked my visa case status and it updated does that mean the consulate received the approval from USCIS.
