What I just read at the Phil Embassy web site is that EVERYONE must pay terminal fee, P750. But only Phil Nationals need to pay exit tax, P1620 (maybe P810? if under 18, don't know about that).

OP question is which ones are included in recently purchased ticket? Easy to include the terminal fee since it applies to everyone (even children?). I just bought 1 RT and 2 1 way online of course and the ticket summary shows airfare and separate 1 line for all the other taxes, fees, surcharges, duties, etc, etc, etc. but doesn't break it out item by item. So do I find out if the terminal fee was actually paid?

Travel tax for Phil National is different story since airline can't tell if traveler is Phil citizen, foreign national, balikbayan, etc, so I am guessing that the departure tax must still be paid at NAIA. There has to be a recent K1 traveler leaving with his fiancé that can clarify this issue. Please!

I am going mnl-pps-mnl in August before int'l mnl-cmh in Sept. so I can ask then but that is a long time to wait for a simple answer.

Well from what I read, I presume as a tourist on a 9A I don't have to pay. Never did on the last 3 trips.

Wife as a PP carrying, non-GC carrying, Phil citizen, her tax is P1620.

Daughter, 3YO, same as above, her tax is only P200.

Last time I left NAIA in Feb '15, before Phil gvt allowed adding something to international tickets, the departure tax counters were still open. My guess is that only terminal fees P750 is added to tickets and the departure tax liability must still be paid, depending on status, before going down concourse to the gates. I'd call the airline (JAL) but don't now how successful I will be talking to a Japanese about a Philippine issue, haha.

Any K1 or CR1 travelers want to confirm?

I went back to the Philippines March 2015 with PAL, I only paid 200 pesos at the airport on my way back to the US. They said that travel tax is included in the ticket and I am not sure if I heard it right that since I am a US resident I only have to pay 200 pesos for the terminal fee.

When did you return to the US? Maybe the P200 was just to cover the difference between P550, which is what the terminal fee had been for a long time, and the current P750. Anybody know when it increased? I'm sure airlines wouldn't be overly proactive in changing the fees collected from 550 to 750 and NAIA would catch that only P550 was on the ticket fare.

About paying in advance with cc online.... I'll do some more research on that one. I presume you would provide a screen print receipt to NAIA showing that you paid? I can see that system being rampant with fraud and I would be leery of giving a cc# to any Phil gvt agency. But in reality not any different than paying CP for ticket or hotels for advance booking.

I'll report back what I find out.

I only stayed 20 days , I returned March 24. As far as I can remember terminal fee was already P750 back in 2007, I paid P3750 for me and my 4 kids when we travelled to the US for the first time. So I am not really sure what was that P200 pesos I paid at the airport on my way back. I checked the receipt they handed me and it says "processing fee".

This is the problem with Philippines, Communication.

Terminal fee at MNL was 750 peso, then went to 550 and now back to 750.

Terminal tax is added to the ticket? On some it is, and how do they know to add it to a ticket?

If I fly from Davao to Puerto Princess and change planes in Manila, I don't have to pay terminal fee in Manila since it was already paid in Davao.

You will still have to pay the terminal fee at Davao airport when flying back up to Manila. I did not have to pay a terminal fee in Manila and I was flYing PAL.

Vol:

Did you have to pay twice? Once to land and once to take off? Or is the terminal fee similar to departure tax for Fil Nationals except EVERYONE pays?

IF you are going to like say Puerto Princess, and you have to get change planes or get luggage in Manila, but your starting point is Davao.

You only have to pay terminal fee at Davao, some people think you need to pay again at Manila since you have to go thru the secured area where they check you and your luggage........

I tried to flashbacked my memory (happens when getting older) my husband booked my ticket online flying thru PAL, terminal fee was included so I don't have to pay at the airport to fly back to the US. Travel tax was not included in the ticket, it supposed to paid at the airport but according to TIEZA since I am a US resident and considered as a BALIKBAYAN, stayed only for 20 days in the Philippines I am exempted for the travel tax BUT, still has to pay P200 for the processing fee.

I flew from Manila to Palawan, Palawan to Iloilo, Iloilo to Manila and I paid P200 every time I leave the local airports.

After extensive research it appears that JAL / AA do not add the P750 terminal fee to the cost of the outbound ticket. At least the best info I can find from Expedia where I purchase the ticket.

FWIW here is the direct link to paying the departure tax on line:

http://207.158.15.178/cgi-bin/tieza.cgi?state=state_start

I didn't see any direct link from the tieza main homepage.

I created an individual profile but should have created a group profile for both my wife and daughter. Not a big deal because 2 individual = 1 group. So after creating the individual profile the next step is to enter specifics about the traveler. After that the next step is to enter the details about the departure flight and that is where I bailed out. First you select a departure terminal and for us it will be terminal 1. next you select an airline from a drop down selection box. They have listed 'Air Japan' but not 'Japan Airlines'. I didn't want to risk making the wrong selection so I just closed out and will do it the regular way.

It looks like a convenient way to prepay IF you can answer all the questions correctly.
