Receipt Notice not received

Hello! So we sent the documents and got an email June 11th that they had received and accepted our case and that they were going to send it to California and send us a Receipt Notice. The thing is, it's been over a month and we still haven't gotten anything on the mail. When we call USCIS they tell us they can't send another copy of the Notice. What do we do? What's going on? How long should we wait until we have an update on our case status? Please help us out!!

A few things:

1. You received an email which is good news meaning your petition wasn't lost before getting to the USCIS. Im not sure but do the provide a receipt number in the email they send? If yes, please go online and check status as the provide instructions on how to go about these issues. luckily, I have an excerpt of what it would say once your case is received. please read below and call the number provided. * Ignore dates as they do NOT apply to you but you can calculate and see how much time after not receiving your letter by mail they expect you to call. ( Basically a month from receipt day)

Case Was Received

On August 27, 2013, we received your Form I-130, Immigrant Petition for Relative, Fiance(E), or Orphan, Receipt Number EAC***********, and sent you the receipt notice that describes how we will process your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your receipt notice by September 26, 2013, please call Customer Service at 1-800-375-5283. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address

2. Do you have copies of the I130 you sent? Check and make sure you spelled in the right address. Also, check with your local postal office. Although I usually see people receiving this notice in 7 or 8 days, a fair share do receive them in more time.

Hi, yes we received the number on the email, just like that one, and we called the 1800 number after one month like they said, but they said they can't do anything about it or mail us another receipt. We will keep on calling to find out what's going on. Thank you so much for your help!

when you call back into USCIS, ask about 'returned mail pieces'.

If the CSR cannot help you, ask to speak to an ISO.
