K1 - applicants Frankfurt - any delays?

Hi all!

Is anyone else going through Frankfurt embassy and is experiencing delays at the pack 3 stage? I figured I might get a bit more input here in the K1 area rather than the local forum.

My NOA-2 is almost 7 weeks old, I have not heard a peep from the embassy. I believe I am supposed to receive a letter (pack 3).

CEAC has shown my case as ready for at least 2 weeks - maybe longer, I am not sure when it was sent from NVC.

I have contacted the embassy via email, but gotten no replies... Is there another way to contact the embassy?

I still did the DS-160 and paid the visa fee but now I seem to be stuck without being able to reach them.

how did you send your e-mail ?

make sure to right your case number , your name and your petitioner name if you got the letter from NVC, this is the way that you can communicate with embassy.

maybe it help.

Via official contact form, including Names & DOB of both beneficiary & petitioner, case number. We never got a NVC letter.

No reply yet, but Frankfurt appears to be very backlogged and experiencing additional technical difficulties at the moment, so no choice but to wait.

There are a few people with the same issue I have come across.

I emailed the Frankfurt Embassy 2 days ago and received a response today. Then I mailed a reply and got a response within 1h.

The result: They told me that the CEAC is not accurate and even though it states that my case is READY they have not yet received my petition. I wonder why it takes so long from Boston to Germany. And I really get the feeling that they do have it but did not yet have the time to maybe enter it in the system or to take any further action with the case. Veryyyy frustrating :((

That's probably what it is. The case is sitting in a pile somewhere and hasn't been processed yet but once they receive the file electronically CEAC jumps to ready.

The website of Frankfurt embassy says it usually takes 4-6 weeks post NOA-2 for them to contact the applicant, but these days they take more like 7-8+ weeks - I am guessing the visa shutdown and corresponding chaos is to blame for that.

I'll let you know when they get back to me, my case has been ready for more than 2 weeks, but I don't know if it is actually physically there.

That is possible indeed...

I also read somewhere that they send (physically) the petitions in bulk from Boston (NVC) to the embassy.

So probably we will get Packet 3 all at once...hopefully soooon

I'm also waiting on Packet 3! And the embassy confirmed they received my electronic copy (what we can see on CEAC status) on Monday the 20th, but have not yet received the hard copy. I guess we will all continue to wait! Hopefully they sort out these backlog issues soon.

Hi everyone,

We are in the same boat. After waiting 7 months for approval from TSC. Called the NVC, got our case number and they said our package was sent to the Frankfurt Consulate on July 16th. We have not received any contact form the consulate.

My question to anyone would be, what doe the Package 3 include?

I printed out the checklist off the consulate website, we have all the documents required. So along with our case number, can we send the checklist to the consulate now, without waiting for the "official package 3" to be mailed to us? My fiancee goes for her medical exam tomorrow and we are currently filling out the DS-160 and will soon pay the fee online.

Thanks for anyones help.

There is a residence history and Request for interview form that is included in the checklist. The residence history isn't found online. Otherwise we are ready too.

Yes, you have to wait for the residence history form in packet 3, but the request for interview form (page 3 of the checklist) you can print and sign from the online checklist.

We received our packet 3 on Saturday (it only took about 5 days for us to receive it from the consulate receive date!) and have sent off our packet this morning!

Fingers crossed we have all the required documents. I always get so nervous!
