DS-260 number and Courier Service

I have my interview at the Embassy in London on Tuesday.

I failed my medical and so won't get my visa. As such I wondered whether or not I should, as suggested, register at ais.usvisa-info.com for the courier service (as I don't expect them to keep my passport). I thought I should, just in case and it asks for your DS-260 number.

My wife and I have no idea what this is or how to find it. It's a required field for the online registration form.

I searched around on google and apparently you can log in somewhere to find it. I looked around but still couldn't find exactly which site to log into and upon doing that, where to find the number. I may not need it, but it makes me a little nervous that this could be a number that's integral to our application that I've never heard of. Maybe they'd need it at the interview or something.

Thoughts?

You applied online for a visa with the form DS-260. When you submitted it, it gave you a confirmation page to print and take to your interview. You have a reference number on the confirmation.

If you created an account and saved your application, then pull it back up. The London website actually says you can edit or do another. Bring the NEW confirmation printout to the interview so they pull up the new version.

It's generally not critical to have that confirmation page when your turn in documents at the interview. That just comes from reading lots of discussion of interviews and nobody said they were unable to proceed without it. The embassy knows and the confirmation is just a backup if they somehow can find your DS-260. You could ask them there what your number is and still do the courier thing after you get out if needed.

So did the medical people say you flat out failed and will not be going to the US? Or are you just speculating?

Oh man, I didn't know it was semi required. I leave for London tomorrow, so hope I can find it. Likely my wife would have applied as she's the petitioner, right?

I failed my medical, so yeah, I won't be getting a visa. Filing I-601 once I get my rejection slip/letter.
