When can you file for Citizenship after ROC is approved ??

Just got approved on 07/14/2015 and Received in the mail today, i was just wondering how long do i have to wait before i can file for citizenship?? Thanks.

Hi,

When your ROC was approved is irrelevant.

You can file 90 days before the 3rd anniversary of getting your green card.

If you acquired your green card via marriage, and you are still living in marital union with the same spouse, you must have been a legal permanent resident for 3 years. I'm not sure when you can "file." The previous post implies you can file 90 days in advance.

If you are no longer living in marital union with the same spouse, the waiting period is 5 years.

In addition, you must have been physically present in the USA for half of the required period - in other words, 548 or 913 days, as the case may be.
