Schedule Interview Before Package 3

Hi, everyone. Thanks in advance for the replies.

I checked the CEAC website and it said that my case was in transit to the Brazilian Embassy and yesterday it said "READY", which I assume it means it has arrived at the Embassy, right?

The Brazilian Embassy doesn't schedule the interview for you anymore, you have to schedule it yourself, and all it takes is the DS-160 and the NVC number, and I have both of them.

My question is: can I schedule the interview even if I haven't yet received the email (package 3) from the embassy?

Thank you so much.

I wouldn't. I've seen threads of other countries embassies where doing this caused trouble.

Try sending an email to them first (ImmigrationRio@state.gov) and ask what should you do now and go from there.

Good luck and keep us posted, please!

Hey iscbodnar,

After all, what did you do? Did you schedule it yourself? How was it? :)

I am on that same stage, and anxious to figure out what my next step could be.

Can we schedule it or not?

Hey there. I waited for the email, it only took a few days... It seemed like forever because I was so anxious, but they send it fast so just wait a little and you'll get it :) good luck!
