Hey all,

At the beginning of June we received our NOA2 and haven`t heard anything ever since from NVC or the consulate.

Does anyone of you know if they are in delay or something at the NVC?

We already sent an email to figure out our status, but also didn't hear back from them. We tried to call but can't reach anyone.

It's more than 1.5 months now and we are worried about our application.

Also I was wondering how I will hear back from the consulate for my interview? Will they send a letter or call me? Will they give me an appointment for the interview that I will have to go to or can I tell them my preferred days?

Thank you all!

Worried Jasmina

I'm sorry to hear that you are having this problem. It took the NVC more than two months to respond to my email, but I was able to reach them by phone every day that I tried. I sometimes had to hang up and dial the number again dozens of times before getting through, but once connected, it usually wasn't long before someone picked up our call. Keep trying! Phone seems to be the only reliable way to reach them.

Our case took over two months to reach NVC. After weeks of calling them to find out whether they had received it or not, I started to panic. The NVC representatives repeated that it takes up to 35 days for approved K-1 petition to reach them, but ours was still not there after 40+ days. Finally, I called USCIS national customer service center.. I believe their number is 1 800 375 5283.. After a bit of arguing with the guy who took my called and a few hours on hold, I managed to get through to a Tier 2 officer, who informed me that CSC had never bothered sending my case to the NVC. He was kind enough to create a service request asking that CSC send it onwards. Thankfully, it arrived at the NVC in another two weeks.. I highly recommend doing the same, if you haven't already.. it may or may not solve your problem. I believe USCIS will only accept a call from the petitoner, though, and supposedly that number must be dialed from within the United States.

Also, I'm not sure how your consulate does things, but ours in Jakarta contacted me by email when they received our packet.

Thank you hafsol!

We just called that Service Center. They said they forwarded the application.

But apparently NVC doesn't always give notice.

We will keep trying to call NVC.

Call the NVC immigrant phone line. 603-334-0700. They are open from 7am to 12am EST. Best to get in the phone queue right before they open, you'll be on hold a while. Otherwise just keep redialing. Give them your USCIS case number and whatever information they ask for and they should provide you with a consulate case number. Put that case number they give you into CEAC https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx and see what message you get. Chances are it's at the embassy already, someone has just been tardy with sending info out. Once you know it's at your embassy follow the instructions you can find at your embassy website. Will probably be something along the lines of complete a medical, fill out a DS160, etc.

ya, use a telephone, call into NVC, get a human, give over the receipt #, biodata, then get the consular casefile number. if it not exist, then nvc not log it yet.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Call uscis at 200pm, a tier 2 officer just call me back thank god it was a nice officer who didn,t mind doing research i told him my file got approve on JUNE 25 and on the noa2 it says file was sent out same day, if there is any way he can tell me if it got sent out that day it took him about 10 min to find out file didn,t go out same day, he said file got sent out to nvc on JULY 9 then he ask me do i need number to nvc, and i should call them tomorrow and stay on them because file was definitely sent out on JULY 9,

I was also wondering if there was a delay at NVC. My case was assigned a number last friday and CEAC keeps saying "at NVC". I called today at 07:05 eastern time. The first two calls didn't get thru but the third did and it took about 10 minutes to get transferred and then 25 more minutes to speak with someone. The person I spoke with said my case is at NVC and to give it a month to be mailed out to South Africa!!! I thought this was the fast part of the K1 process. I see others timelines and it only takes their case a couple days to get mailed to the consulate. :crying: I am getting so impatient.

Hope you get your case number and status soon!

9/01/13- Met online 7/10/15- NVC case # assigned **22 days from NOA2**

11/9/13- Met 1st time in person (L) 7/27/15- Case left NVC to South Africa!!!

2/01/14- Met 2nd time in person (L) 7/28/15- Case "ready"

9/01/14- Met 3rd time in person (L) 7/31/15- Consulate received

5/11/15- Mailed I-129F 8/4/15- Packet 3 received by email

5/19/15- NOA1--- Got routed to CSC!!! :dancing: 8/7/15- Sent Packet 3

5/22/15- File "touched" 8/7/15- Packet 4 received by email!

5/27/15- Our baby was born (L) 9/7- 9/8- Medical

6/18/15- NOA2!!!! Email notification at 21:30 Central Time **30 days from NOA1** 9/17/15- Interview!!! APPROVED :luv:

9/28/15- Visa in hand

this is a standard pattern,

i'm so happy that

you learned of it because

you spoke with an ISO and

were able to coerce the ISO

to research location and

exact dock leaving date

for you !

We were so lucky they sent our application to California and we got the NOA2 so soon.

Now it`s stuck there. Do they have to throw obstacles into every step of the application?

Why must it be so hard for two people that love each other to get married?! I know they wanna make sure that it`s not a fake marriage, but even true love can just handle so much.

I think the whole process and the fact that planning a real wedding is pretty much impossible, is already hard enough.

But we all do what we have to.

At least CSC or NVC (or whatever is the problem here) should appreciate our efforts and situation and do their job. Not leave applications unsend at CSC...

I cross my fingers for you all and hope we all will here back soon!

That is the fast part if you're at TSC and wait 7 months for a NOA2. Strangely though TSC petitions get to NVC within one or two weeks where CSC takes more than a month.

I had my interview and was approved yesterday, and my fiancé only JUST got the NVC letter today. I rang a few days after it left TSC and they received it the day I rang, and it was out of there the next day.

I couldn't believe I finished the process before the letter even came along.

Definitely persist with calling them, but it sounds like you may hear from your embassy sooner than NVC.

Good luck :)
