Is the NVC behind on Electronic Applications, or is it Just Me?

I'm a newbie here!

I'm the petitioner for my husband, and everything has gone fairly smoothly so far. The step that took the longest was getting all of my Uncle's info, as he is my joint sponsor. I'm not sure if we're at a snag now, but we've already exceeded the 30 days for the NVC to approve our application.

Once we sent everything off through electronic processing, we received an e-mail on June 8, 2015 that our case was received and to wait 30 days for processing. The NVC has everything now. I called on July 8, 2015 and spoke to a really nice dude that went ahead and put our case in for Supervisor's Review. I've called twice since then, and I still haven't heard anything new. They just say that I'll get an e-mail once we're approved, then receive a package of instructions in the mail.

We're intending on moving next month to Ontario to stay with my husband's grandparents. They live a lot closer to the Consulate, and we both want to spend some quality time with them since they're in their 80s. It would definitely bring us some peace of mind to know that we're approved before we go, although we're going to move regardless.

Is anyone having issues with their case being reviewed? The lady that I spoke with today said that it COULD have to do with the electronic issues they had been having recently, but I can't help remaining anxious. It's frustrating! I guess I just want to know if there's anything I can do.

NVC EP has been busted for more than a year now,

and currently it's limping along with a 60 day wait window,

from the time you submit something via email to the time it's actually reviewed.

Will it get better, less duration of wait? Maybe, if'n the prime contractor for the EP project actually gets off their backside and fixes it.

So does that mean that it is better to choose to do mail/paper processing
