I am in the US and would like to pay the $265 visa fee for my filipina fiance through bancnet as one of the options they provide so that we can schedule our interview. I have only heard of peoples experiences of going directly to the BPI bank teller in the Philippines. Can anyone let me know there experience paying directly through Bancnet online. I am just concerned about it not being correct and therefore not being able to get the correct info after paying so that we can properly schedule our interview. We do have a joint bank account at PNB bank in Philippines. Thanks for any help you can give.

Then just let your fiance do it so that it is done correctly. I am like you and wanted to pay it myself, but I just let her pay it so that it is done correctly the first time. I then scheduled an interview after her payment has posted.

You are unable to make the payment from USA. The reason is simply she will need to present her passport (not all locations require it but it is recommended that she bring it along when making the payment) and she will need to present her voucher and then once payment is recorded they will issue a receipt that is now used to schedule the interview appointment at USEM. For more information please follow the link below. You will find step by step instructions. While you are there look around there are step by step instructions for each phase of your journey.

Thanks for your responses. I did more research and found that I am able to do it online because we have a joint account at PNB bank. So based on this I am able to pay it via Bancnet. It looks straight forward but I was just concerned. I guess I am wondering why do they offer to paying through bancnet if you recommend not doing that because you have to show a passport. Anyway I am just wondering if there is anyone out there that has paid through Bancnet and what they experienced. Thanks!

If you have a bank account with a bank in the Philippines you should be able to follow the process as listed to pay online.

Which becomes the "receipt number", the Reference Number or the Trace Number from your second link? This something new I was not aware of.... referred to as a hidden gem. :secret:

Step 2

Make note of your reference number below:

81888356

You must correctly enter the reference number when making your online bill payment at BancNet's web site. This will also serve as your receipt number in booking your appointment.

Thanks all. I will follow instructions carefully and put in the receipt number they give. One last thing. They suggest you create an account before your begin. I did not want to start the process and get stuck. I know it starts with e-mail and password. Do you know what information they request after that? Is it all information about my fiance in the philippines and so she needs to fill this out or can I do this part as well or at least do it with her as we screen share. Thanks!

Go to my guide and on the tab "NVC to USEM" go down and select "Scheduling the Interview" and then scroll down a 1/4 of the page and you will see a slide show of the process with the questions that will be asked.

The link to my guide is in my signature below. Select the link at the twisting arrow.

I setup the account for my wife, after an email address and password, MNL#, the basic address information and such, then they will want the passport number and when scheduling the reference number being you are paying online.
