Hi All,

The interview for my fiance is coming up shortly and im a little confused about the documents. All of the documents coming from me have been scanned and emailed. The documents coming from her are all going to be originals. Are there any documents that I must physically mail to her for her interview? According to the information i've been reading they accept scanned copies but I want to be 100% sure. Her interview is on July 27th so my time is short.

Best,

Noah

Hello, she will need for interview the originals of yours I-134 Affidavit of support and the letter from employer.

Are you saying the letter from USC's employer needs to be original?

Yes, you need the original (wet) signature on the Form I-134. I had mine notarized for good measure; however, I'm sure that was an unnecessary step.

Signature coming soon...

No need in notarized copy just original (wet) signature on I-134 will be fine.

Many of us have had no problems with scanned I-134s. Many on VJ will tell you send originals. It's your call.

When looking at the website for Kiev they specifically say they accept scanned copies for all the support docs and that they don't even really need a 134 we have one just the same.

I was actually reffereing to all the other documents like the notice of action 197.

Thanks for all the feedback, its great to be able to ask a question and get an actual answer.
