FRUSTRATED WITH USCIS/ NEBRASKA

After 6+ months of filing, I got an RFE, so I responded to the RFE and the status on my case changed to...... "Request to Reschedule My Appointment Received" the description says that we received your request to reschedule your i-130.., which is just weird because I know 1. they don't do interviews/ appts for i-130 petitions and 2. I didn't request any reschedule. I simply responded to the RFE.

So I called USCIS and spoke a nice tier-1 customer service rep. who seemed confused herself with the status of my case and thought it must have been a mistake because they don't do any such interviews. She transferred me to a tier-2 rep who could resolve the issue. Got a callback from a tier 2 representative who spoke with an accent and was extremely rude and basically told me to disregard everything as these status updates are unreliable and that they haven't received anything from me and that I should be patient for 30-45 days, as that's how long it takes to process an RFE. I think she simply didn't want to admit that they made a mistake. She said that these cases are taking anywhere between 6 to 9 months to adjudicate these days..... which I know is not true because most cases that I have been following- other i-130s with the same NOA-1 date as mine have taken 5 months or less.

Should I call back to try and get a more diligent USCIS employee and try to get this resolved. I mean, if I am to sit quietly for 45 days, there is a deadline on the RFE notice so my prompt response to the RFE should at the very least be acknowledged right?

I would call back just to get a second opinion. It won't hurt to do so.
