Hello,

I've been trying, to no avail, to pay my IMMIGRATION PROCESSING FEES on the NVC's payment portal for several weeks, but it never worked. I finally gave up, so a few weeks ago I asked my elderly parents to go to a branch of my U.S. bank and get a cashier's check and mail it to the NVC along with the INVOICE that I emailed to them. (I live in Ireland).

I've just logged in to the NVC web portal to see if the $325 payment was received. The payment is listed three times, and beside each entry in the STATUS column it says REJECTED. Yet when I click on each of the entries to see the detail, each is marked as PAID. A bit odd.

I've finally (trying since 7:00AM EDT) gotten through to the NVC and when I queried the representative about this "oddness", she had no idea. Her advice was to just wait and see if the STATUS changes in the next few days.

Has anyone seen this, and if so, how did it get resolved?

Cheers,

Daniel

The system was taken down the weekend of the 4th because of payment issues. Call back and try to speak with someone else. I find that sometimes they know what they're talking about sometimes they don't. lol I think odd things are going on bc there hasn't been updates on the embassy end since the first. Who knows.

Are you using IE?

IE? Sorry, meant the NVC site for Dublin cases. It seems that they are all still in "transit" which would mean they are swimming across the pond and drying off before Dublin picks them up.

No worries. The payment of fees for IR1/CR1 occurs with the NVC and often using different kinds of web browsers doesn't work and will cause fees to be rejected. All government websites are programmed to work exclusively with IE and while they may work perfectly fine with other web browsers, you do so at your own risk.

Every work computer my husband has ever used, in the military and now working for the department of transportation, uses IE only.

ya, sorry, 'that' site was designed to be best utilized with MicroSoft Internet Explorer V7 or better, from a pc running winders.

revisit from a pc running winders and IE V7 or better, let us know what you see, aye?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
