A woman was arrested after allegedly chasing kids down a Clermont area street while swinging a baseball bat at them and shouting racial slurs, Lake County deputies said.

Lisa Marie Elberson, 29, was arrested by deputies after a group of teens said she chased them down Goldenstar Court and swung a baseball bat after them Sunday night. A 16-year-old told authorities the woman spit on him and yelled racial slurs as she chased after him and his friends.

The teen told deputies the incident started when Elberson's husband and the teens got into a verbal dispute earlier in the day. When the teen and his friends passed by Elberson's home later another argument commenced but when he and his friends walked away Elberson grabbed a black Louisville Slugger baseball bat and started chasing the group, according to an incident report.

One of the teens recorded the incident and showed it to authorities. At one point in the video, she stated to a teen "I hang your family from my tree" and used a racial slur, the incident report said.

Deputies said Elberson left the area after the incident to go to work at her job at Gator's Dockside. When authorities arrived at the Four Corners restaurant, Elberson told them she never displayed the bat in an aggressive way and never spit on anyone.

Elberson faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, child abuse and simple battery. She is being held in Lake County Jail on $5,000 bond.

Florida? cool ! #MoreRacialHatred This sounds like typical cracker or cracker-ish behavior.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

She was not arrested because she was upset. She was arrested because of how she acted upon it. Completely different things.

What reason do you have for telling someone you want to hang their family from a tree?

None, she deserved what she got. But it would be nice to know why she did that.

Maybe she was late for a cross burning event or NASCAR race, and they were in her way...

The article said they got into a verbal dispute earlier that day. Later on, when the teens passed the house it started up again. Sounds like a bunch of name calling that almost got physical.

Her husband mentioned she took that bat from her son. Any way, I would like to know her side too, thats all. Every story got 2 sides.

I would sure like to think that there was a lot of alcohol involved and that that statement didn't come from a sober mind. As Dave Chapelle said in a gig, if there's hate in your heart, open up your heart and let the hate out- white power.

That's optimistic, but I know better. Just from what I've seen folks post here. Problem is, people just hate. It's as simple as that. And when something happens or when they think no one is looking, it seeps right through the cracks.
