My I-751 case status has never been updated

Hi,

I am wondering if there is anyone experiencing the same situation as me.

I filed my I-751 in November 2014. Less than a week I got a receipt and then one month later was my biometrics appointment.

So I went to the field office as said on the date given for the biometrics appointment. Got my fingerprint scanned and all that.

Then a few days later I went to the website to check my case status and it still said "Your case was received".

Months go by and I got RFE notice in April 2015, I went to check my case status online again and still said "Your case was received".

I submitted my RFE package in June cause I had to wait for my husband to get all the tax paper done.

The RFE package was delivered the next day and since then I have been checking my case status at USCIS website and it still says "My case was received"

which means it has never been updated at all after the first update they did when they first got my I-751 package. Is it normal??

I created an account and turned the notification on for both email and mobile phone but I have never received any updates at all.

It's been 2 weeks since I sent out the RFE package.

How long does it usually take to hear back after you send out the RFE package?

I am thinking to call them and ask about my case tomorrow but not sure it it's too soon.

The website/notifications being inconsistent is extremely normal. With an RFE it's frustrating but that's just the way things are. I've seen some people receive their cards within 1 month of submitting their RFE evidence. However, some get interview notices next. The website NEVER seems to update once an RFE is issued, which is so counterproductive - the person who has the most worries about their case seems to have the least access to it.
