N400 Post Interview

Hello there,

I had my N400 interview about 3 weeks ago. I was recommended for approval. At the end of the interview, the officer made copies of my expired passport pages. I did have a couple of entry stamps from Europe. As you may know, in Europe, the date format is DAY/Month/Year unlike in here in the US which is Month/Day/Year. My question is: Are immigration officers familiar with the European date format? The reason I'm asking is because it makes a huge difference. For example: 11.03.11 in Europe is March 11th 2011; whereas, in the US it's November 3rd, 2011. Does any one know? Thank you.

They should be aware, there are several countries that uses the dates differently, from that of the USA.

For me it'll make a huge difference. As I came in the US around July 2011 and got my GC based on marriage in February 2012. If USCIS is unfamiliar with the European date format, instead of Oath ceremony letter, I may get a notice of deportation since in November 2011 my case for adjustment of status was still pending and thinking that I took a trip outside of the US would be considered abandoning my case and my GC would be invalid.
