Hi, I sent out I129F for K1 visa 3 weeks ago. And I didn't even get any receipt number or notification. Also nobody cash my check. I got into this exactly the same problem a month ago when I first filed it. It took 23 official days to return my package back to me. Because I wrote a check to USCIS in stead of the Department of Homeland Security. So this time I'm 100% sure nothing can be wrong with the check.

In my package I had

  • Payment in the amount of $340
  • G-1145
  • Form I-129F Petition for Alien Fiancée
  • Form G-325A and photograph of the petitioner
  • Form G-325A and photograph of the beneficiary
  • A copy of US passport (Petitioner)
  • A copy of passport (beneficiary)
  • A copy of Birth Certificate (Beneficiary)
  • Letters of intent to marry between petitioner and beneficiary
  • Proof of having met in person in the past two years

By the way the only thing I'm worried about is that on the G-1145 Whose name suppose to be in there? The US citizen or foreign fiancee?

I discuss about this to my fiancee and she wants me to put her name in as she could track the case status. So I'm not quiet sure if this can be a problem and get my package back once again.

Thank you for your help

Everything you sent in the packet its correct , For the form G-1145 you should put the petitioner name. and once when you get the receipt Number ( NOA1 ) then you can check your case status .

Thank you, I was wondering about this too. But as it is not something necessary. The G-1145 is just a plus that make things go easier. So I don't think it's a big deal. But I need to change my idea now because that is seem like the only mistake that possible.

I sent it to the P.O. box. It was my bad, I just drop it into the box not an actual post office. So basically I can't track anything. Just need to be patience and process it the third time, I guess. Thank you for your help.

I sent it to P.O box address. I don't have tracking because I didn't go to an actual post office.

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

I have had good fortune in all of our various petition/application submissions by simply following the VJ recommendations in the Guides:

Mail the I-129F Package to the USCIS

You should mail the completed form(s) to the USCIS Dallas Lockbox. Mail the package with return receipt requested / delivery confirmation. Send via USPS.

Hopefully this time, with the correct payee on the check, you will be receiving your NOA1 soon.

Good luck on your visa journey.

Completed: K1/K2 (271 days) - AOS/EAD/AP (134 days) - ROC (279 days)

"Si vis amari, ama" - Seneca

Thank you, unlucky that I have never heard of VJ before I process it. If only I know it I'm sure I would follow all the guides :)
