I would say it is imperative. Plus, from what I read and hear Dominican Republic is one of those countries that practically requires it (for marriage based visas) unless for very valid reasons such as being unable to travel because you are in your last trimester of pregnancy.

Your case closed on the 15 of this month, or of June? If it was July, was it expedited or regular ?

The 15th of july i got case complete after i sent it to the supervisor and they got back to me with in two weeks after 4 checklists requesting the same thing , it was nvc's fault so i had to send it to supervisor thank God they knew what they were doing cause NVC truly sucks

I know they suck! I got a checklist for something I had already sent to. I was so mad. My case did close yesterday though and I'm wondering if it is possible for me to maybe get an appointment in August.
