Does NVC call to arrange the interview ?

you got the interview email thingie on 2015-06-09 so yer saying you got a phone call from NVC prior? or learn of it prior because you or your spouse called up and learned of it?

Back in the good old days (2012) they sent you an e-mail a week or two after case closed with an interview date. If that hasn't changed, there's your answer.

I have been seeing a lot of posts lately of NVC calling and setting Interviews.

They did for me.

Why wouldn't it be normal? Doesn't it just depend on which consulate it's going to? I never called anyone and no one called me, I simply waited until I received the email of my case being complete. The same email included all of the information in regards to the interview.

OP asked if they call and arrange an interview Darnell replied no they don't do that and you said "they did for me"...that's why it's not normal....because you said they called and arranged an interview with you.... but then here you said it was email and there were no calls.

He asked specially if they call him....read the thread...it was in a reply to you. That answer is no.

That's because he made the same assumption as Darnell about my original reply.

He was assuming that because he wanted to know if they call him, that was his question. So he took your answer and applied it to what he was asking.

Obviously you were thinking he meant do they call/arrange with the embassy... Darnell, I, and seemingly he, was asking about himself not the embassy.

Why in the world would the NVC call the petitioner or beneficiary to schedule the interview? That's happened before?
