Weird AOS Interview?

Hi.

Husband and I had our interview this morning. It was scheduled for 7am we arrived at 6:30 and were called in about 7:08 am.

My husband was nervous and he gets really chatty lol and he puts on this sing song voice it is super weird.

Anyway IO didn't ask for any docs other than IDs. He asked us about how we met, explained that we met in HS and were friends for a while didn't start dating until 21.

He had me verify /most/ not all of the yes/no questions and my signature on the i485. We talked a bit about how I played soccer and hubby jumped in and said he played too. We talked about the lady world cup and he questioned why the men aren't as good.. hubby said it's because American men focus more on football (good thought never saw it that way). He didn't have me verify any names or bday or anything didn't take my ead or i94.. he just asked when we got married and we told him and he asked what we did for 1 year anni. We said we're not rich just starting out so we took the week off (hubby's bday is 6/9, wedding is 6/12) and just explored dallas. We recommended some restaurants and he recommended one. Hubby kinda kept interrupting him which annoyed me a bit and I kept trying to nudge him on the DL so he could stop talking (nerves).

Anyways he said he was finished and asked if we have questions.. i offered the docs we brought and he didn't want them >.>

Then I asked if we passed and he said he doesn't see a reason why not and said we'll get decision in mail.

It felt really mellow but idk.. super nervous that he didn't look at docs and pictures we brought. Also not collecting i94 and EAD and so on.

Congrats. Not unusual. That was similar to our experience for the AOS interview. We can prepared with tons of Docs but nothing was needed. Very easy and down low. We received Text notification before we left the area that the card was set for production. It took a longer to drive there than it did for the Interview. Total time for interview was like 15 min.

You are adjusting from a B-2 with an overstay after age 18,

so they will take more time on final adjudication on the casefile. Sure, the interview is piece of the adjudication process, but it's not over till it's over.

so they will take more time on final adjudication on the casefile. Sure, the interview is piece of the adjudication process, but it's not over till it's over.

I thought they would want more evidence because of exactly that reason.. i had a 10lb heavy bag lol.
