I read a few topics about babysitting before getting the work visa. My future wife is being offered to babysit for extra money while she waits for the work visa. Now I know this is still considered work but what if she didn't charge them but they gave me money instead for allowing their children to be in my house?

I'm not one to normally bend the law but the extra money would be a nice help. They would never be paying her for her services but paying me for allowing their children to be at my home. She'll just always happen to be there.

Call it what you want, you know what it really is. Venture at your own risk. It doesn't matter if they are family or not.

It doesn't matter how you dress it up, it's still illegal work. Money is changing hands for her to work. It's illegal.

I'd rather go on the side of caution so she'll just have to do nothing for a while then lol
