We just received an email from the NVC saying they had forwarded our case to the Embassy. The title of the email is a bit confusing: it's "std p4 app (some date)". The date in parentheses doesn't really ring a bell. What is it of?

Yes, The date when NVC received your documents. Its sound like they closed your case. Next step is interview.

The NVC received our case in Feb 2015 and the date in the title of the P4 email is in Oct 2014. Oct 2014 rings no bell whatsoever.

I'm scratching my head too my friend. I would call and speak to a supervisor and tell them exactly what you're telling me.
