I have interview date, but still no letter?

Hey guys!

So I got a little worried it had been 3 weeks and no interview letter, I got my Fiance to call up the USCIS people and they told her that the interview date has been set, and nothing was wrong on there end. Yet I have not received my interview letter yet?

Should I be worried? What action should I take?

Interview is 17th July.

Go to the interview, even without a letter. The embassy will have a list outside of who has appointments that day and find your name and let you in. Most likely you will receive something eventually but not a crisis since you know the date.

Pay for your visa and schedule the courier whenever you're ready since you have a date.

It's NVC who had the date, not USCIS who wouldn't have access to Dept of State computers.

So for me to find out interview date, I should contact USCIS? I know my stuff has been sent to my embassy.

USCIS will not know your date. You are no longer with them. I don't know the process for Argentina embassy. Each one does their interview assignment differently. This forum is United Kingdom.

If you email the embassy on the contact form and tell them that you didn't get your letter they will email confirmation of your date. At the bottom of the email it states that you can print off the email to use when you attend the interview in lieu of the letter.

Same thing happened to us but I just called the London embassy a few days before and they sent it by e-mail.

I-129F Sent: 08/27/2014

NOA1: 09/02/2014

NOA2: 04/02/2015

Received by NVC: 04/20/2015

NVC Case Number: 04/21/2015

Left NVC: 04/27/2015

Medical: 04/28/2015

Embassy Ready: 4/30/2015

Is that just by the basic contact form on the embassy website? I sent off an email today asking if they could provide any information. We still haven't received our letter either. We'd really like to know because the travel distance is so far for him and his work will demand to know what day(s) he needs off of work in advance.

Yes, it was. They emailed me back the same day the letter arrived in the mail. I had also called NVC that day and they were able to give me my interview date. The letter arrived in the mail a few hours later anyway, but NVC can see when your interview has been assigned.

Thanks Wbeem! Thankfully it finally arrived today, very relieved. I was about ready to get on the horn and start obsessively dialing the NVC again. :P

I'm pretty sure that NVC knew my voice when the agents took my calls. In fact, I'm sure they had champagne on ice for when I got my visa :D I'm glad you got your letter. YOu can start planning (I say this very cautiously!) once you have that :)
