That's the letter you will need to complete the process.

But, first for you to apply as a K2 to follow (which you have stated) your visa must be issued within a year of your mother's. So find out the first day of validity of your mother's visa typically the date she had her medical. That will tell us if you are eligible. When you have that then return back here and let us know the expiration date of her visa. After we know that then we can help you with your next step.

Also, what is your age?

Validity for the K2 visa is that it must be issued before the (drop dead) ISSUED date of the parent, had nothing to do with the date of the medical or expiration date of the visa. The issued date is noted on the visa.

Hi everyone. I am a k2 visa applicant.

I just want to know what is the first thing to do. My mom is already in usa and already got married. Thank you in advance :)

Requirements for the K2 are the same as for the K-1, some items are age related but if you are over 16 years of age then then will all apply. Also you much be under the age of 21. And lastly you must be issued YOUR visa within a year of the issued date of your mom's visa (that is the drop dead date), so you must start this process months before that date to insure completion.

Follow the embassy instructions letter, use that letter as your checklist for what needs to be completed. And don't forget before you can leave the Philippines you must complete CFO as well.

First thing to do is pay your visa fee, then go online to schedule your appointment (can call also)
