We received a case complete on April 17, and we still haven't been scheduled for an interview. Is this normal? How long does it usually take to get an interview? After so many days can I do anything (i.e., Senator involved??). We will be interviewing in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Sorry but Department of State has problems with the computer system and they have people working 24/7 to fix the problem asap but still and is a lot bloglog no interview at this time due to they can give visa to anybody for security reasons.

Calling a senator or anyone will not get you a interview. The slots are full. It's summer. Most embassies are backlog to capacity with petitions of all kinds. You just have to wait your turn. I know many people waiting over a year for reaffirms when it use to be a 4 month to 8 month turn around. So just hang on it will come soon.

I'm confused.. delay in scheduling interviews confined to certain emb\consulates with high volume, or worldwide as a whole?

No delay this is usual time of scheduling end of month. They all don;t start at the same time. When an embassy sends their schedule to the NVC they start scheduling.

I think they know we are on to them. Right when we have them figured out they go change things and its all crazy over there. Good grief. How we all stay sane. Our love ones get a Visa sure but we the Petitioners should get a Medal of bravery and valor and a Sanity for sure. :bonk:

I think we sometimes forget folks over at NVC and embassies are human too.. probably under pressure to move things along while weeding out the frauds and nasty fellas.

You're right though, our patience is being tested!

I have not heard anything about registering the interview appointment, but I know in some cases you need an appointment for the medical tests (if needed of course), that might be the appointment you need to register? That's just my guess.
