So after a very simple interview, my visa was approved! Thanks to everybody here for all the help and guidance through this journey.

K1 Visa Timeline 01/30/2015- Engaged02/20/2015- I-129F petition filed03/12/2015- NOA 1 received04/02/2015- NOA 2 received!04/24/2014- Case sent from NVC to Consulate in Montreal04/27/2015- Called NVC to receive Case #05/04/2015- Emailed/mailed Packet 3 to Montreal05/13/2015- Consulate received Packet 305/20/2015- Packet 4 email06/12/2015- Medical06/25/2015- Interview-APPROVED07/08/2015- Visa issued07/14/2015- Visa in hand07/20/2015- POE Sarnia/Port Huron border<p>08/14/2015- wedding!

September 2015- Applied for AOS

September 30th- Biometrics Appointment

November 2015- Advanced Parole/ Employment Authorization Received

06.29.2015 - Hard copy NOA1 (NOA1 Date 06.23.2015)

08.04.2015 - Notice of RFE

08.10.2015 - RFE in mail (long form birth certificate)

08.14.2015 - RFE received notification (email)

08.24.2015 - NOA2

09.15.2015 - Case # from NVC

09.28.2015 - Logged at MTL (status "Ready")

09.28.2015 - Emailed Packet 3 to MTL

09.29.2015 - Packet 4 received via email

11.16.2015 - Medical in Toronto

12.17.2015 - Interview in Montreal -- Approved!

Congratulations! I have been watching your journey because my fiance is in Canada and I hope our process is as quick as yours!

Thank you! Honestly I wasn't expecting this whole process to be as short as it was given others, but one thing I learned is to never compare your case to other people's. Hope you have a speedy rest of your visa journey!

Describe your interview

It was simple because I was well prepared, and had all necessary documents. The questions themselves were easy too, and ones anybody could answer as long as your relationship is genuine like where you met, wedding plans etc. I was the first to be interviewed and was done within an hour once everything started rolling.

Congrats!

The content available on a site dedicated to bringing folks to America should not be promoting racial discord, euro-supremacy, discrimination based on religion , exclusion of groups from immigration based on where they were born, disenfranchisement of voters rights based on how they might vote.
