hi

the taxes don't go with the i130, the i130 Is only the first form

the taxes and other financial documents go with the i864 at a later date, at the NVC stage

who are you filing for?

According to the instructions for the i864, you have to include the latest tax year, but if the previous 3 years will help you establish your income better, you may provide the last 3 years.

A link to the instructions is here: http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-864instr.pdf

I have been through the process TWICE - self-employed and I gave them the most current year (that's what they want at the embassy too).
