Visa printing and issuance

Ok guys and gals,

Our K-1 visa was approved on June 5th, and the case was created and showed issued, (per the CEAC site) on June 9th. I guess internationally, the consulates are not printing visas due to a hardware glitch for the biometrics. Is anybody getting their visas sent to them after June 5th through the 9th? My fiance is in Colombia...

This is crazy.. you would think that if the government could throw 100 experts at this, (they say 24/7), and the resources the state department has, they could get the consulates up and running fast, not 14 days, or longer, later... ... Its frustrating putting in all of this work, so we can move forward in our lives , and a chunk of hardware throws a wrench in life... ... Huffington Post stated there is no end in site :(

It tells you which places are up and running. Take a look :)

I'm sure they will get it fixed by the end of the week.

very cool... Thanks... I am hoping that the consulates work a bit o' overtime and get the back log caught up...

Here's a list. They issued 45,000 yesterday, 15,000 in Beijing alone, which is absolutely amazing! Bogota is on there!!!!

Thanks guys,, I am sure you guys were having the same anxiety I was having... I work for the Government and when we hear from management that we don't know when something is going to happen, it usually means a LONG LONG time! but it sounds like things should move along again... Stupid me, I bought a ticket for July 6, thinking we would have the visa in 30 days... Silly me..

Of course we want the visa as soon as possible, but I try not to stress because it's something out of my control Sorry about your ticket, but heck no I'm not buying a ticket until visa in hand....you never know what could happen. Hopefully you can still make your date.
