Hi everyone,

Out of curiosity can a legal permanent resident serve jury duty? Not sure what made me think of it, my husband applies for citizenship next month so it isn't relevant to him. Just curious :)

hi

no, only USC can,

the answer is also among the 100 civic and history questions that he has to learn, so it is relevant somehow to your husband. he will have to learn the answer

to vote and serve as a juror are only privileges of a USC

No.

Since my LPR wife got her WA state Driver's License she has received two jury summons. Each time we have had to submit a copy of her GC to the court clerk in order for her to get excused.

I was summoned once too and had to submit a copy to be excused as well.
