Canadian with Combo Card (EAD/AP) in US. Can I work in Canada and come back?

Hello,

My wife has a Combo US Employment Authorization and Advanced Parole card. She also has a US social security card. She's here with me in the US and she was just offered a week-long employment opportunity in Canada. Can she leave the US to go work in Canada and come back? If so will she have to pay taxes in the US from the employment opportunity in Canada?

Just spoke to USCIS. My wife can go work no problem. She just can't stay out of the US for more than 1 year.

She will pay taxes (if any) in Canada. She will also need to report the income on her U.S. tax return. She will unlikely owe any U.S. taxes.

Yes. You'd have to do tax returns in both countries though.
