Question: Has the US Embassy Manila started releasing visas after the glitch....? Hopefully good news will come soon.

Yes they do already

When your status goes to ready, then you have received a final approval. It is now off to the printer and ready to leave the building. Once it goes to issued, they finished printing the visa and it now out the door. Then time to check 2go.

If anyone can tell you with any certainty then you need them to help you play the lottery.

I'm sorry, but no one knows for sure so no one can answer your question.

My opinion is that anytime this week it will be issued as you are on the next to last step before issuance. The visa is being printed and prepared for passport entry. Once completed, then it will leave the BIG House for your House. Keep your eye on CEAC and ustraveldocs.

My interview was june 5yh as well, until now..no visa arrived yet. No calls from 2go to pick it up. CEAC updatr is still "ready"

So frustrating already.

Hi All,

Is there a possibility that even though the CO says he has approved the visa, there could still be background checks i.e. Administrative Processing even though no slip or other information was provided? Or is it that once approved we are bound to get the visa and its just this glitch that is causing so much delay?

I'm sorry but I'm feeling really anxious because of all this delay especially when no updates come on a daily basis. I am sure many feel the same.

Did you read about the computer hack and how all the systems were down? Lots of delays. Just be patient.

@mui23, there doesn't seem to be any particular order in which the visas are getting approved. I guess we'd all have to just wait until the next week as they have advised that they would clear the backlog early next week

Your in the queue, now be patient and everything will be fine in the next 7-10 days. As you can see some are being release at issue. Yours is percolating to the top. So, have some more patience. And besides, no one knows what the order is. Some may have additional inquiries to be searched, others are finished and just need printing and sent out. No one knows what order or when they will receive theirs.
