Hi fellow vj members, just wanna ask anyone out there who had a limited face time or met their partner only once before the interview. Please please.. share your experience during your interview at Manila embassy. I'm really worried coz me and my fiance only met once and it was only for 8 days! Although we're almost 1 1/2 year in a relationship before he was able visit me I'm still afraid that it will raise a red flag right away at the interview. Right now my level of confidence is gradually going down each day because of this :( So hopefully I will hear some good tips and successful interview despite the limited facetime.. thank u :) Your response will be greatly appreciated.

Here is what their looking for and that is that you have a genuine relationship. They only require one visit with in the prior 2 years of your interview, nothing more and nothing less. Evidence for a relationship is pictures with the two of you together sharing your family and yourselves with them. Chat logs but not many are needed. Phone logs or Skype logs also. That's all they are looking for except that you can answer some questions possibly about him. I'll give you a few to brush up on.

What is the name of your fiancé/e?

Where did you meet?

When did you meet?

How did you meet?

When are you planning to get married?

What is your fiancé/es work?

Have you gone out of the country?

How long were you out of the country?

How many times has your fiancé/e visited you?

Where did you go when your fiancé/e visited you?

Do you plan to have kids?

Where do you plan on staying in the US?

These are some of the questions but rest assure that all the questions will be about the petitioner, the beneficiary, and the relationship. Always tell the truth even if the truth is "I don't know". Don't rush in answering and give a straightforward answer. Look the CO in the eye when answering and smile. Don't give a novel as your answer. Just brief and concise. Don't volunteer any information unless asked, doing so could send you down the wrong road.

Don't forget to ask the CO if you passed.

Relax, this is going to be easy and will last all of 5 min. Don't drive yourself crazy.

Relax!

We also had limited face time because we only spent about 2 weeks together before her interview. I also went to the interview with her. She was approved with no problems at all. You can read my embassy review to give you an idea of how it went for us.

We only met once, face to face, and married after just 3 days there. Only was there 10 days, I think? No issues came up with immigration. No questions.

It's all good. My wife and I only met once for 2 weeks. The rest of the time we would simply text. Save those texts! So long as you both have good communication and know each other well, you should have no problems passing the visa interview.
