Hi guys,

Its getting to that time where my spouse and I have to remove conditions.

Just wanted to get some feedback on our evidence. This is what we've collected so far:

- My spouse's 401K and benefits printout from his work, showing me as beneficiary

- Joint medical and dental insurance cards

- Auto lease papers showing me as the lessee and spouse as the co-lessee

- Auto registration papers, with both our names listed

- Drivers licenses showing joint address

- Apartment lease agreement- spouse is the renter, I am listed as an authorized occupant

- Bank statements for our joint checking account

- Cable bills, in my name

- Cell phone bills, in spouse's name but showing us both as having a line each (family plan)

- Credit card statements. I am the cardholder, spouse is an authorized user. Statements show activity from both of us for each month.

- Gas and electric bills, showing both our names

- 2013 and 2014 state and federal taxes, married filing jointly

- Travel itineraries, including scanned plane tickets and receipts from hotels, national parks, car rental companies, etc.

- Photos- 24 letter-sized pages of photos, approx 2 photos per page, with us on vacations, with family and friends.

- A magazine article featuring us. We are a same-sex couple and same-sex marriages are illegal in my home country. A local LGBT magazine from my hometown did an interview with us to highlight the social and economic benefits of marriage for same-sex couples.

- Letters and greeting cards from family and friends

That's about it so far. I was thinking for the bills and bank statements of sending one for each quarter (ie four statements for each year since my initial green card).

I'm feeling fairly good about what we've got, but your feedback and suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Looks good so far.

Make sure to send tax transcripts and night just tax returns. They can beer ordered for free from IRS.gov.

Also consider wills, medical powers of attorney, HIPAA releases etc.

I would cut out the photos (24 pages???), itineraries, and articles.

Good luck! :)

Thanks for your advice guys! We have advance care directives, which I think is similar to medical power of attorney, so might include those. Also, I might try and reduce the page-count of our photos by putting more pictures on each page, rather than cut out photos- we've done a lot of traveling and seen many relatives, so I really want the USCIS to see this.

Tuckin14- we're a one-income household, but thanks for your suggestion anyway!

General Buhari- we'll be leaving this in our attorney's capable hands... We trust her unequivocally. Might seem weird that I'm asking for feedback on a DIY site considering we're going through a lawyer, but it does help to bounce ideas off of other filers, and I like the community feel of this site :)

Creating wills would make a good package a slam-dunk package.

Cover letters are not required and are chiefly for the benefit of the filer as a "table of contents."

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
