The number of accidental shootings by Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies has more than doubled in two years as the department switches to a new handgun.

There were 12 accidental discharges of weapons in 2012 and 30 last year — most of which involved the new gun, the Los Angeles Times reported

I don't own a S&W M&P, but the Beretta M9 is IMO still one of the best service weapons out there. You can feel very confident in the Beretta with its safety decocker leaving it in double action with a safety on. Its only flaw is that if you rack the slide you have to be careful not engaging the safety.

lol well it is a real term. A decocker drops the hammer on a firearm and at the same time blocks the firing pin so that the hammer doesn't accident strike the firing pin. Most double action firearms have them.

It is, but as long as folks are going to tune in to watch tepid conversations about rich folks and their problems it's not going anywhere. Even poor folks get their own shows(but you have to LOOK a certain way).

Gone are the days of funny show writing and actually having talent.
