Dear Forumers,

The I-130 form says that we need one common parent for sibling visa. My sister is applying for my sibling visa and we have same parents .Our Mother name is correct in both of our birth certificates but am just missing an letter from my dads name in my birth certificate ( who is not alive now and never had his birth certificate)

Since the form says in order to apply we need one common parent and our Mother name is right ,can i just apply as it is or can i get an affidavit from my mom to confirm that my birth certificate is missing a letter in my dads name .

Please advice.

Has taken 13 years, some suggestion that it will be longer in the future.

File and forget and then see what you want to do nearer the time.
