So, yesterday I went to the DMV in Virginia and passed the driving test. I had to take the two part written test and physical driving test test too. I was so surprised how easy it was. The physical part was 5 minutes long, a drive around the block.

My AOS and EAD are still pending too. I was under the assumption that I had to wait for a licence, but apparently I was issued one for one year! I took a bank account statement, passport, driving licence (uk) and a noa1 showing current pending AOS status.

Congratulations!!! I was a nervous wreck having to go for mine again after so many years, but ended up spending the whole test advising the Officer what vitamins to take for her very heavy cold and consoling her because she felt so blahhh lol (thankfully I didn't catch it off her!)

It was mostly common sense questions. They included parts for the child safety laws, convictions and what penalties to expect if you do xyz. Those were the only parts o really had to study. The rest like street signs were easy and I spent a couple of hours on them, so overall really good. 80% out of 30 questions for general is knowledge is needed and 10/10 is needed for road signs.

Good work! A lot of times, the testers know that you have experience, and you're simply taking the test as a formality, that's why they are not especially concerned about testing all aspects of driving.

I am taking my road test on Wednesday in Alexandria, VA. It's the worst customer oriented DMV i ever encountered. Thanks for giving some heads up. I hope it will be an easy one ?

I wish it would be that easy when I get my driver's license here in Illinois. I already have my driver's permit though, just being lazy to do the actual driving test.
