Hello everyone. Just received a text from USCIS saying "Your case was received. Official Receipt notice (Form: I-797) to follow in mail."

What does this mean? Does the petitioner need to do anything when he receives that form. I am worried and confused!

It means it wasn't lost in the post. It reached USCIS. Yay.

They will mail you the paper receipt I-797 aka NOA1 soon and put your case in line to be processed.

That's your NOA1. Basically, they have just informed you that the petition was received by USCIS and has been assigned to a service center for processing. They gave you a receipt a number which starts in 3 letters. SRC = TEXAS WAC=California I don't know which is for VSC.
