I would think conservatives would applaud Obama for enforcing immigration and customs law. I guess the knee-jerk reaction to oppose Obama at any cost is too strong to overcome.

How do you know there was no immigration law in play? Were you there at the stop?

I guess he read the article and watched the video, it was an illegal drug? search.

How do you know there was no immigration law in play? Were you there at the stop?

They were aiming for drugs or explosives hence the dog search. Technically speaking they were within their rights to do so as long as the dog arrived in a 'reasonable time'.

From what I saw the supervisor started to wander down a bad road so to speak when he told her that she could leave but her car could not. The minute law enforcement say that, you are no longer under detainment.

Personally, I would have just sat it out and wait for the dog. I think the max time is something like 4 hrs though.

Are you sure she wasn't asked if she's a US citizen? If you've seen enough videos of these internal checkpoints by the CBP, you'd know they usually ask about citizenship.

And yes, the drug search was a customs function. Your point being?

I haven't done an extensive search, but yes, I haven't seen the Fox News wingnut crowd praise Obama much for enforcing immigration law through deportations (many more than Dubya ever did). Shouldn't they be kissing his behind by now?
