To those whose I-130 cases were expedited....

Questions :)

1. Were you informed by USCIS that your case was expedited?

2. How soon after NOA-1 the approval arrived?

If the official pending period is 6 months, I wonder, how long the expedited processing can take.

I requested twice to expedite my CR1 case and both requests were denied. However I got my approval (NOA2) after 112 days from NOA1 (almost 4 month)

How do they send expedite requests? Is there a special form? Which address did you send it to?

Hi Sekharuli,

nope we both are living apart. she is in Madrid Spain and I am in Hawaii. we have never stayed together longer than 3 months at a time and we been together for 11years.

We both are from the Philippines, I moved to Hawaii when I was 3 and she moved to Spain when she was 7. I'm not a naturalized us citizen and don't have a PI citizenship. While my wife has a espana citizenship. we got married in the Philippines in our hometown and my wife got her Pi passport just so she doesn't need to go to the Spanish embassy to sign papers for our wedding. funny thing is, when I tried to get a Philippines passport etc. I was denied even though I was born in the Philippines and have my pi birth certificate.

my guess is that it could have been because we got married in the Philippines? after reading these forums I was expecting it to take awhile, but am thankful that it got approved quick. now im stuck on paying fees etc. since the website is down :-/

I just received this message by email!!!

We are not related to California's office, so, I believe, our case was sent there on one reason - it is going to be automatically expedited! :joy:

Pleease, confirm, We can celebrate that!

Your case has been accepted and routed to the USCIS California Service Center for processing. Within 7-10 days by standard mail you will receive your official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) with your Receipt Number WAC**************. With the official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) you may visit www.uscis.gov where you can check the status of your case using My Case Status. We suggest you wait until you have received your Form I-797 before checking My Case Status.

Another thing - if we are both residing in my husband's native country, are we receiving paper NOA-1 at our local address, which we put on the file?

you check the auto expedite queue topic?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
