The lawsuit is requesting $2.5 million in total in a settlement, though Theresa Purcell’s attorney Christy Ho indicates that if the case were to go to a jury, the woman who crawled onto the plane will seek between $6 and $8 million.

So it seems the only weapon this woman (the lawyer) has in the arsenal to force the airline to settle was negative public exposure. They shot their wad - I really don't have a feel if this is blowing up in the media.. It sure seems to have died a quick death even with there being no other sensational stories.

Pregnant women don't grow sideways. Not the same thing as when some hog pays for one seat and checks greasy fat rolls into two others.

My biggest fear when flying is not knowing if I will be seated by a fat ###. If I ever get seated next to one of the fat @@@@@ I might consider a lawsuit to ease me of the discomfort and terror I will experience. 1 million sounds about right. Might be enough to get over the disgust and discomfort.
