BIRTH CERTIFICATE (ACTA INEXTENSA)

Good Afternoon all,

I need some advice I’m currently preparing the next phase of the petition that I submitted for my fiancé. I know that in the Dominican Republic my fiancé must provide the birth certificate

(Acta in Extensa). My fiancé went to obtain it today and some lady told him that when he goes to the consulate he must bring the birthcerticate within a 30 day period is this true because it’s only valid for that long?

I find it hard to believe my question is to those who have undergone any petition in Dominican Republic does the Birth certificate have an expiration date that it doesn’t make it legal after 30 days.

My fiancé has had his birth certificate for a while, and I don't think it expires. He has used it for jobs and everything. I've looked at it and don't see an expiration date on it anywhere. Maybe she was thinking of something else?

I am dominican and that isnt truth.

He can go with his birthcertificate with some months, only need to be in good condition.

Maybe he misunderstood or she misunderstood. It sounds like she was referring to the medical and not the birth certificate.
