Will this delay my visa process? I am just worried that they might ask me for sputum test which will take another two months. My lungs are clear.

You won't know until you go thru SLEC's own xray. They don't care about xrays done outside their facility. ?

Good luck!

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

SLEC will do their own xray and only after that will you know the result. Like others said, SLEC follows what they see in their xray result and not of others. Just keep yourself healthy and strong. Anything wrong with the medical can result to some delays. Just try to mitigat that by being helathy. Good luck!

do not worry, they are only concern for communicable disease which can be exposed to USA population. Main purpose of chest xray is to make sure you do not have TB. thats it....!! So be relax.

There are basically two things that SLEC is concerned with. First is TB. TB can have a adverse effect and if left unattended then you can transmit to those around you and they may contract the disease. TB is deadly if left unattended. Second is communicable diseases. Those two can be transmitted and hence you have a situation here that is preventable if treated before you arrive in the USA. I understand and can appreciated your nervousness but your health is more important then immigrating to the US whereupon you die or you infect others who may or may not die from your disease that you carried into the country. That is why USEM requires an exam at SLEC to insure you are healthy for your sake and the sake of others who come in contact with you while infected with a disease.

Now having said that, if they find something else that does not fall into this category, then they will let you know that you should follow up with your personal Doctor, but that ailment will not prevent you from attaining a visa.

In my opinion, there is nothing you can do at this time. You just need to be brave and go to your exam and see what your personal results are. No two cases are the same so it's hard for others to tell you anything about your situation.

Before I had my medical at SLEC I was really bothered because I had granuloma.. I went to my pulmonologist last march 2015 to asked him if i will undergo sputum at SLEC and he said yes.. So i was really expecting for sputum test, since March I am taking Mosvit which my pulmonologist gave me, sangobion for my iron and fresh milk everyday until June 4 which is my medical scheduled at SLEC.. Really prepared my self whatever happened. Had medical June 3 and June 4 was the result so I was really surprised when I hand in my receipt to guard and he stamped for IMMUNIZATION 2nd floor i was really happy. Just pray hard, keep the faith.. I know miracles do happen everyday.

Incorrect

They are concerned if you have been married before and had an annulment, which usually requires a separate medical with a Physchological Evalution.

Or if you had an abortion before, or if you show suicide scars which usually gets you a second separate interview

This is the wild and weird world of the Philippines..........

If you have excessive tattoos (Signs you might be a pok pok, they make you do Psychological Evalution.

If you have severe depression you probably going to get to do a psychological evalution.

So they are also looking for other factors during the medical.

A serious wait of time and money. No matter what is shown on the x-ray from your doctor has zero bearing on what they see from the x-rays at SLEC. You seriously need to relax. Plus, too many x-rays in a short period of time is not good.

 Drinking of milk does nothing to prepare you for your TB exam. This is what's called a "wife's tale" told over and over till some believe. Now milk does a body good but not for the TB exam. If you have TB you have TB!
