Hi am here again VJ ☺

My interview last week went well and approved, but I ask to provide Taiwan Police Clearance since I'd stayed there for 10yrs. I'm asking how many months do I have to wait to get visa after I took the lack document? Hope it will not delay my visa ?

Btw VJ thank you for all the infos and ideas. I can't walk-through all the means to interview without your counsel. Thank you so much and more power. ? Godbless

No one can say for sure how long after your Taiwanese police record is submitted to USEM in answer to your 221g. Expect anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months or more.

Once USEM receives the police certificate from Taiwan it can still be another 2-4 weeks before the visa is issued.

I don't want to discourage you, but I seriously believe the embassy isn't handling 221(g)'s yet, or they're just going really slow. If you look at the timelines, the majority of people got their visa within 1-2 weeks after their interview. I'm assuming these are all people who got approved on the day of their interview. If you sort on Interview Date, you'll see that there are many that haven't gotten their visa yet -- either they got a 221g or they just forgot to update VJ. Our interview was in April, also 221g for police clearance, still no visa.

On the bright side, you were approved! and that was the biggest challenge of all! Your fiance will be with you soon! It's just a matter of time. One day it'll be our victory. Hang in there like the rest of us and good luck.

I took my required support docs already. What am asking is, do I have to submit it together with my passport to the embassy or send it separately? Because it's not stated in the letter to send back the passport and the required docs with it. Thank you again.

If you were approved but they are waiting on your Taiwan Police Clearance once the receive it (sometimes PC's are sent directly to USEM) they will process your visa. BUT, they can't give you the visa without your passport. Usually USEM will hold your passport till the 221(g) is satisfied and you are approved for the visa to be attached to your passport and then returned to you.

Send the TPC and the passport back to USEM together along with your 221(g) letter. All details are contained within the 221(g).

There are other issues affecting the issuance of visa's. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/552816-overseas-computer-sytems-experiencing-glitches-affecting-visas/

You requested the return of your passport at the embassy, or they returned it without you asking? Either way the embassy will not issue the visa without your passport. If you already provided all the documents required and are now waiting for the police certificate, the police certificate and your passport are all that is needed to complete the visa application process.

I looked into my case status and it was already on Issued. My question is how long does it take to finally receive my passport and visa package? :clock:

And also, I need some clarification about the port of entry... If they give me a date port of entry like Aug.8, does it means that I can have my flight by that day or before Aug. 8? Just asking

I got my passport and visa pocket already, where can find the date of port of entry? ? is it the visa issued? Ty

The expiration date of your visa is just above the red numbers on your visa.

I have picture that explains everything in a visa. Go to the link below a look for a tab "visa and poe".

Expiration date is clearly marked on the visa, right next to the issued date.
