It seems dozens of people go thru the medical exam everyday which includes the vaccinations, has anyone had or heard of any applicants that had an adverse reaction to any of the vaccination shots, especially the MMR?

I'm just hearing a lot of bad reports in the media about the dangers of this vaccine...

The probability of a reaction is very slim. But if you have a doubt's discuss it with the Doctor during your exam.

MMR side effects are mild, often not getting worse than a headache, cough or fever. Extremely rare that it requires medical attention, much too rare to even worry about it.

The diseases it protects you from, on the other hand, can kill you. So it is worth it.

When my wife had hers, she had fever and headache for the first night and then a cough for three days. Nothing worse, and no doctor needed.

You can get a waiver for vaccines if you think it violates your moral convictions or religious belief.

The US Embassy in Mania says they don't process or take any waivers on vaccinations

It's not their decision. The decision rest with the panel physician’s recommendation at SLEC.

"Upon the panel physician’s recommendation, a consular officer may authorize a waiver if it is determined that a required vaccination is medically inappropriate because of your age, health condition or medical history. The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) may also authorize a waiver if you can establish that compliance with the vaccination requirements would be contrary to your religious beliefs or moral convictions."

I tried to submit it to the DCF Manila USCIS when the applicants applied for their I-130's and they wouldn't take it. It would be based on religious and moral beliefs...

SLEC would not give you certain shots due to aging out, allergic reaction, but not give you a waiver for religious or moral beliefs.

Where would I file the wavier?

The only thing I can think of is making an appointment at the Embassy USCIS Manila, showing copies of I-130 approved letters, and filing it with them there?

Is it ok to get an advance medical? We just got our welcome letter from NVC with our MCN & INVOICE case number in it. Can I go to SLEC and get my medical done without my interview schedule?

No.You are required to have scheduled a visa appointment with USEM. You will be required to present your appointment letter sent by the National Visa Center or an e-mail confirmation from the Visa Information and Appointment Service or you may print off a copy of your appointment confirmation page after you have scheduled your appointment online to begin your medical exam.
