Hello! I'm new in this website and my fiancé and myself are about to send our F-129 for the k-1 visa. So my petioner (my future husband) will sent the application from ny. Someone knows where our case will be reviewed? And if it's possible to be reviewed is California? Because as I can see they are way faster than all others.

Thx!

Also by sending everything by June anyone knows the delay? On the website they say 5months! But 5 months to NOA1 to NOA2? Or the whole process?

The website gives a rough guesstimate but every ones case is different.

It -could- get sent to Cali because everythings being sent there, but as for how long it takes. I always say prepare for the worst. I got my NOA2 36 days after I received my NOA1. There are people who received their NOA1 from California for the same visa that are still waiting from March and Early April.

I believe the five months is a safe max guess they give for NOA1 to NVC (after NOA2) government websites always kind of go overboard on time positions just to be safe, by telling people it could take upwards of five months, it gives them an easy response to callers not understanding why their stuff hasn't been seen yet, all they have to say is "If you go to our site you can see it takes up to five months, you're only two months in, please call back in three months if you haven't heard anything", I planned for five months, made it so when it was approved quickly it was more exciting and I wasn't heart broken like those who expected to get their NOA2's faster just because they were at CSC.

But remember, just because it was going fast doesn't mean it'll stay that way, from the looks of it ALL of the petitions are being sent to California, which means at some point there will be a backlog.

Thank you for your response! So I prepare myself to wait longer than I should! Also I have an other question... Is the fact that my petioner was arrested when he was 20 for smoking weed can damaged the chances to get the visa? For my part I'm clean! I mean my background!
